Faculty Funding Opportunity Grant

The Coast Community College District Foundation Board of Directors is proud to recognize the important work of faculty by offering grants to fund innovative educational practices and professional development opportunities for faculty members within the Coast District.

Coast Colleges Foundation donations support faculty directed projects through opportunity grants. Some of this year’s projects included:

• Creating Open Education Resource Manual for Human Physiology (Faculty: Deboarh Henry, M.D.)
  Creating Materials to provide a “blended/flipped” approach to teaching Math 100 (Faculty: Mansour Abdoli, PhD)
• Development of a Wellness Workbook to grow the Student Wellness Program (Faculty: Laura Behr)
• Development of a three part Transfer Champion Workshop series to assist faculty and staff campus wide in supporting transfer students (Faculty: Michael Tran)
