Vision 2020: Built to Last

Since 1947 the Coast Colleges - Coastline, Golden West & Orange Coast - have been an important resource for the community, preparing local residents with high quality, affordable education, so that they can move on to four-year universities and into high quality jobs.

With many of our campus facilities being built in the 1950s and 1960s, Coast recognizes the vitality of providing classrooms, labs, and equipment to best prepare students for 21st century jobs and careers.

It is through extensive master planning and collegial shared governance, that the Coast Colleges capital construction program seeks to provide exemplary educational facilities, expand course opportunities for students, support active duty and returning veteran services, improve accessibility and campus safety, and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of campus utilities and operating infrastructure.

With the continued support of our local community, through the passage of Measure C and Measure M, Coast Colleges is able to develop and implement teaching environments that are safe, sustainable, comfortable, technologically current, accessible, and esthetically conducive to learning.
