Coastline’s Westminster Learning Center will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, as well as a science lab, art facilities, lectures halls, computer rooms, vocational training facilities and counseling offices.

The City of Westminster will be constructing a community cultural center to be housed in the same complex as the Learning Center. The Westminster Cultural Center will be home to a 419-seat theater and a banquet and conference hall with an adjoining terrace.

"This is an exciting opportunity for us to be able to work with the City of Westminster in a way that will benefit our students and the community,” says Dr. Ding-Jo Currie, president of Coastline Community College.

The $9 million project will be funded by Measure C, a voter-approved bond measure passed in November 2002.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer with an expected completion date of fall 2005 for both projects.
