Coast Colleges is multicultural and celebrates our diversity. BENEFITS ​

All full-time employees are eligible for benefits at the Coast Colleges District.


MEDICAL, DENTAL, & VISION ​

Coast Colleges offers both HMO and PPO medical insurance to all eligible employees through United Healthcare, Delta Health Systems and Kaiser Permanente. Types and costs of healthcare coverage vary from plan to plan, and employees are encouraged to sit down with a benefits specialist to find out which plan works best for them. Dental coverage is offered through Delta Dental, and includes coverage of basic and major services, preventative services and orthodontic procedures. Coast Colleges also offers generous vision coverage through VSP, a national not-for-profit vision care provider with an extensive network of eye doctors.


​VACATION & SICK TIME ​

Coast Colleges understands how important it is for employees to have time to cultivate and nurture their personal interests, or simply recharge your batteries. With this in mind, the district offers generous paid vacation and sick time to all eligible employees.

We also value the important role that family plays in many employees' lives. The District is committed to supporting those who face the joy and challenges of parental responsibilities, and offer both maternity and paternity paid leave for all eligible employees.

Coast Colleges also observes 10 national holidays per year, as well as a 10-day winter break during the December holidays.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The success of our students is dependent upon the success of our employees. Coast Colleges encourages the professional and personal development of its employees and work teams. The District provides all mandated training and supports the colleges as they develop leadership training and employee development programs unique to their campus culture and needs. There is also a Classified Professional Development Program for all eligible employees, and lastly, staff members who wish to pursue formal coursework at an accredited college or university may apply for reimbursement of up to $3,000 per fiscal year.
